Swisscom Buries Analog Telephony

The plug will be pulled at the end of 2017. From that date onwards, security systems will no longer be able to use analog transmission.

The old analog telephony is no longer current, already today practically all offered services are based on internet technology.

Today only voice telephony still functions mainly by way of old analog technology.

No Phone Connection when the Power is down

The disadvantage of internet telephony is that if the modem does not work or the power is down, you will not be able to phone or transmit data. Old analog lines, in contrast, work independently of any power supply.

New ways of alarm transmission are needed.

We recommend alarm transmission via internet and GPRS (mobile network) so that your alarm system always stays operational.
